“Voices of the Inside Passage” was featured at the Colorado Environmental Film Festival. This documentary deals with the negative impact of British Columbia’s mining industry on the fisheries of the Pacific Northwest.

Commissioned by renowned photographer and conservationist Chrystina Geagan, we partnered with the Ethiopian Wildlife Conservation Authority to film “The Accidental Conservationist”. This is the unlikely story of a talented, unorthodox, entrepreneur who’s goal was to raise awareness of endangered species in the far reaches of Africa. Our small production crew spent many months in the Bale National Forest conducting research on the Abyssinian Lion. We were the first in history to be able capture, on film, this illusive lion in its natural environment, the forest. Oh yeah, lions don’t typically live in the forest. The filming of this documentary pushed the limits of film production requiring extreme mental and physical sacrifices and ground breaking filming techniques. Cultural differences toward the treatment of animals, nutritional requirements, medical services and language barriers were all significant challenges that present themselves in the remote reaches of remote Africa. Proudly, I can say we navigated the adventure and produced an incredible documentary.

This two day whirlwind trip took me from Detroit to Ottowa and back. The mission was to pick up a car and bring it home. What an adventure to be shared. Viewed over 500,000 times.
